Chinese Character Strokes 笔画
This is the starting point for all Chinese learners – the Chinese character strokes! They are not alphabets, but rather, the correct direction and way of writing these line patterns found in all Chinese characters.
There are two types of character strokes, which are the basic or simple character strokes and the compound strokes. All Chinese characters are made up of a combination of these two types of character strokes. Once your young ones master writing these character strokes, they will definitely find it easier to write a complete Chinese character.
Ann: Do not worry about any theory. Just focus on practicing these character strokes with our tracing worksheets and get used to the flow of writing them.
